If you became engaged at Christmas, you'll be anxious to start to plan your wedding right away. At first, it may appear to be a daunting task and probably be wondering where to start.

Planning a wedding should be fun and stress-free. Attending The Wedding Fair Calgary will help put your mind at ease and get you started in the right direction.

When you attend The Wedding Fair Calgary at the BMO Centre, Stampede Park on January 14, 2018, you can actually plan your entire wedding, in one day in one place. You will meet face to face with qualified wedding professionals who will be there to answer your questions, provide information about latest trends, unique ideas, and what services or products they can provide locally.

To get the most out of your attendance at a bridal show, a little advance planning will help you save time and money.

General Admission

First of all, register to attend The Wedding Fair online in advance.  Tickets are $ 25.00 at the door but by registering in advance, you save $ 5.00 off the cost of the ticket. Click here to buy your ticket. Not only will you save money but avoid having to stand in line for tickets when you arrive at the Conference Centre.

Inspiring Displays

Visit inspiring displays from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.

You’ll meet photographers, florists, travel agents, wedding planners, decorators and more. Bridal Gift Registry representatives will also be on hand to register you for the china, cooking ware, flatware you may be most interested in receiving as gifts.

Fashion Shows

Two dazzling Fashion Shows are planned at 12:00 and 3:30 pm. The latest trends in bridal fashions and formal wear will be showcased in New York Style Fashion Shows.

Plan to spend at least two to  three hours at the Fair allowing time to view the fashion shows which are normally about thirty minutes long
Prepare address labels in advance, which are handy when entering for the prize draws that may be offered by the vendors. This will again save you time and ensure that the vendor will be able to easily read the information should your name be dawn. Be sure to include all your contact information, name, telephone number, email address and the date of your wedding.
Consider creating a separate email address to be used during the planning process. After the wedding, simply have it removed and there will have been no confusion with your regular email.
It’s going to be a long day so wear comfortable shoes.
You’ll be talking to many exhibitors so it is important to carry a notebook to jot down information and ideas they will share with you. At the end of the day or the week following, you can review this information and follow up where you think appropriate and particularly helpful.
Often exhibitors will discuss a special offer only available at the show. If you are interested and think it might be beneficial, you may be required to provide a deposit so bring your chequebook. By the way, make sure you read the fine print and know what type of commitment you are making before signing anything.
This applies to the many draws you may be entering. Make sure you know the details of the draw so that you are not making a commitment to something you may regret later.
You’ll find it helpful to bring along swatches of the colour scheme you have chosen. This makes it easier when talking to vendors and coordinating colours for décor and other needs.
If you are not able to attend a wedding show, send a member of your wedding party or family to gather the information for you. They can also enter the draws on your behalf so you are not missing out on some of the prizes.

If you take advantage of some of these ideas, you will find attending a bridal show to be a rewarding experience.
